If you haven't been to Magnetic Island before it is located approximately 8 kms north east off the coast of Townsville in Tropical North Queensland and is the perfect holiday destination.
The island boasts a wide range of water sport activities, 9 hole golf course, a variety of restaurants, 23kms of National Park Walking Tracks, chemist, video shop, boutiques, gift shops, bank, post office, cafe's, taverns, medical centre and much more.
Magnetic Island is a very beautiful and unique holiday destination. It has a stunning blend of National Park, a wide variety of holiday accommodation and a small residential population of around 2,500 - all within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Marine Area.

Magnetic Island caters for all types of travellers from the budget conscious, the family, honeymooners, the indulgent, and those who just like a quick getaway for a few days. Easy access to the Island is provided by a fast catamaran ferry service from Townsville as well as a car and passenger ferry service. For prices on the Ferry Service click here. It is necessary to book on the vehicle ferry, however there is no need to book for the passenger ferry.
